El Dorado Exotic Bird Rescue is being built around one belief: exotic companion birds deserve thoughtful care and a home that understands their unique needs.
From conures and ringnecks to eclectus, cockatoos, and macaws, our goal is to support responsible rehoming and help owners make compassionate decisions when circumstances change.
Bird intake is subject to capacity, species needs, and available resources. The process
Our approach puts each bird's health, temperament, and long-term wellbeing at the center of every decision.
Owners share the bird's history, behavior, health, and rehoming needs so we can assess the situation responsibly.
Appropriate housing, veterinary guidance, and a safe transition come before any placement decision.
We aim to connect each bird with a prepared adopter who understands the lifetime commitment involved.
Good to know
Start by submitting a surrender request. We review each situation individually, and submitting a form does not guarantee intake. Please keep your bird safely in your care until arrangements are confirmed.
Our focus includes exotic companion parrots such as conures, Indian ringnecks, eclectus, cockatoos, and macaws. Whether we can accept a bird depends on its needs and our available space and resources.
Prospective adopters share information about their experience, home, and care plans. Any placement should prioritize the bird's temperament, welfare, and compatibility with the household.
No. Our focus is legally owned exotic companion birds, not injured native wildlife. For native wild birds, contact an appropriately permitted wildlife rehabilitator.
